1. an acquired taste 후천적으로 익히는 기호
something one must learn to like rather than enjoy immediately
something or someone that is not easily or immediately liked or appreciated(알아주다, 감사하다, 오르다, 이해하다).
An acquired taste is an appreciation for something unlikely to be enjoyed by a person who has not had substantial(실질적인, 상당한, 중대한, 튼튼한) exposure to it. It is the opposite of innate(타고난, 선척적인, 천성의) taste, which is the appreciation for things that are enjoyable by most persons without prior exposure to them.

Olives are an acquired taste.
Acquired tastes can take time to get used to, and people often need to "get past(벗어나다, 지나가다, ~의 눈을 피하다)" or overlook(간과하다, 눈감아주다, 못보다, 내려다보다) something in order to adopt that taste or preference.

2. standard fare 평범하거나 일상적인 일
something that is common at a particular event or occasion.
something which is normal, routine, or unexceptional; something which is commonly provided or encounter(만나다, 직면하다, 충동하다)ed.

Smashed instruments are standard fare at a rock concert.
Arguments are standard fare for the Smith family at Thanksgiving, believe me.
There was no need for a subsidy(보조금, 지원금, 수급) because of the standard fare.

3. hold off on something ~에 대한 일정을 뒤로 미루다, 연기하다
to refrain(자제하다, 억제하다, 삼가다, 후렴) from doing something.
to decide that something will happen at a later time: to postpone

She decided to hold off on her vacation for a while longer.
He held off on announcing his decision.
